Willard Mouse making a face

Welcome to another edition of Links of Interest. I honestly had no plans for one this week, but today gave me some golden nuggets. Enjoy!

Okay, maybe a point release or a bug fix release won’t amp you up. But it contains over 60 bug fixes to help improve stability and functionality across all platforms. The OS X version has had an extensive clean up as well. See the release notes for more information. If you wish to ignore all the details, then download your flavor of Inkscape now. In the meantime, the focus will be on version 0.91.

Amazon Kicks-off Kindle Unlimited

Kindle Unlimited

Amazon has just launched its Kindle Unlimited service. In a nutshell, for $9.99 USD per month, and you can view unlimited Kindle books and their associated Audible audiobooks on any device that reads Kindle books.  For authors and publishers, Amazon has a pot of money for creators. If someone enrolled in the Kindle Unlimited program read 10% or more of your ebook, you’ll receive a payment from the fund. The program is currently only available in the U.S. But I wouldn’t be surprise if Amazon doesn’t roll this out globally in the fall.
